Whether a restaurant group or a single restaurant, nothing is more important than being visible online and in the community and creating meaningful relationships with clients and creating new relationships with those who have never visited your restaurant(s).

Tip #1: Create meaningful relationships. On your planning calendar, create multiple touch points throughout the year without being overwhelming. Loyalty programs work but even better is getting to know clients on a first and last name basis. Create a sense of belonging and you’ve created a reason for customers to come back on a regular basis.

Tools to utilize: Loyalty program including segmented database in your CRM, CRM if you don’t have one, rewards, e-news, articles, Facebook and LinkedIn pages with frequent postings, review management, surveys, gift card ordering online.

Tip #2: Get to the top of search engine results. Don’t stop using paid advertising such as Google AdWords. However, reduce your advertising costs by driving organic traffic to the site. (We’re tooting our horn a bit here because we specialize in SEO and our roots are in SEO.)
